Meet the team behind ENLIGHTENED! Today we’re talking to Emily, our brand copywriter.
So, what led you to ENLIGHTENED?
I was really interested in working for a food and wellness brand, and I saw an online posting for a community manager at ENLIGHTENED. I applied, and Lily, our director of brand strategy, suggested I might be a better fit for the copywriter position. It was like the stars aligning, because copywriting is what I love to do!
What is your favorite part about your role at ENLIGHTENED?
I love talking with our fans in creative ways through ads, emails, and social media. The people I work with are also some of the most fun, friendly people you could meet!
What is your favorite touristy NYC destination?
The Winter Village at Bryant Park. My only advice is to bring as little as possible when you go–the stalls are tiny and packed, so you will knock something over.
If you could only listen to one album for the rest of your life, what would it be?
This Empty Northern Hemisphere – Gregory Alan Isakov
What is a movie that you’ll never get sick of?
Chef! I’ve watched it so many times already and I’d watch it again tonight.
If you could create one Marshmallow Treat flavor, what would it be?
What’s your favorite NYC vegetarian spot?
Red Bamboo in Greenwich Village has great vegified comfort food, but I could definitely eat at Thailand Cafe in the East Village on a daily basis.
Dogs or cats?
Red velvet aka cream cheese frosting.
Manhattan or Brooklyn?
Manhattan, though I did live in Williamsburg for a week.
Thanksgiving or New Year’s?
Thanksgiving–eat lots, sleep early.
Tacos or sushi?
Tacos tacos tacos.
Disney or Nickelodeon?
I definitely watched more Disney as a kid.
“Dear God! This parachute is a knapsack!” – Chandler Bing
