Do you ever just crave a childhood favorite, something satisfying and delicious and good? Yeah, peanut butter and jelly is okay, but did you ever have a peanut butter and marshmallow creme sandwich? Maybe you West Coast kids wouldn’t understand—the Fluffernutter sandwich is a New England staple, just like marshmallow creme itself!
Marshmallow creme has been around for over 100 years, though its exact date of creation is unknown. In 1913, Amory and Emma Curtis of Melrose, Massachusetts developed Snowflake Marshmallow Creme, while in 1917 in Somerville, Massachusetts, Archibald Query invented a similar product simply called Marshmallow Creme.
Our Marshmallow Peanut Butter ice cream was inspired by our love for the simplicity and fun of childhood. We took inspiration from that classic after-school snack of a peanut butter and marshmallow creme sandwich, and gave a nod towards our Northeast roots and its creations. This flavor combines sweet and savory with marshmallow ice cream and a thick peanut butter swirl.
Marshmallow Peanut Butter is simple yet perfect, as only the best ice creams can be.
