DIY Ice Cream Fruit Bowls
Disclaimer: This is more tutorial than actual recipe since our DIY Fruit Bowls are truly that easy to make.
We absolutely love our ice cream and part of the reason why is because you don’t even need a bowl to enjoy it–you can scoop straight from the pint! If there’s an option to do fewer dishes, 10/10 times we will take it. For those like us who are low-maintenance when it comes to recipes (and washing dishes) we present you with the perfect less-mess recipe…DIY Ice Cream Fruit Bowls!
We have good news for you, parents! This recipe is kid-approved. After the fruits have been cut by an adult, let the kiddos take a stab at scooping and finally choosing their own ice cream flavors and toppings to fill their bowls.
These tropical bowls make for a summer party dish that is sure to impress guests. They’re so aesthetically pleasing (bonus points for being Instagrammable) that your guests won’t believe how simple the process really was.
Best of all, our recipe is so versatile that you can switch it up and use any fillings and fruits you prefer (as long as they’re scoopable).
Here’s what we used…
-
Coconut
-
Mango
-
Kiwi
-
Peach
Directions
-
Cut your fruit in half
-
Ideally using a melon scooper (or a spoon), scoop out the inside of the fruit
-
Now that your bowl has been created, fill it up with your favorite ENLIGHTENED flavor
Helpful hint: Use a hammer to crack your coconut and freeze it until you’re ready to fill and serve!
