Caramel Banana Split Recipe
If you ever find yourself longing for a good old fashioned dessert, look no further than a simple Banana Split. Topped with deliciously crunchy nuts, whipped cream, and of course a cherry on top, the banana split recipe evokes dreams of sun drenched summer days and picnics in the park.
An all-American staple for over a century, the banana split recipe was invented in 1904 by a 23-year-old Pennsylvania pharmacist to attract business from local college students. Ever since, the classic banana split recipe has been adapted to all different delicious forms and flavors.
While the original (made with 3 scoops of ice cream,one each of vanilla, chocolate, & strawberry) will always hold true, there’s nothing like a yummy twist. Instead of the average vanilla, & strawberry ice cream, how about mixing it up with ENLIGHTENED’s Bananas Foster? Ingredients:

1 pint of ENLIGHTENED Bananas Foster Ice Cream
-
1 pint of ENLIGHTENED Triple Chocolate Ice Cream

1 banana, split in half lengthwise

Chocolate syrup, for drizzling

Caramel syrup, for drizzling
-
Whipped cream
-
Crushed peanuts (or nut of your choosing), for topping

Sprinkles, for topping

1 maraschino cherry
Directions:

Place the two banana slices in a bowl, cut side facing upward.

Place two scoops of Bananas Foster in between the bananas. Add one scoop of Triple Chocolate.

Drizzle chocolate syrup on top of the ice cream, followed by caramel.

Top with whipped cream, nuts, and sprinkles to your liking. Don’t forget the cherry on top!
